COOL follows the OneRoster Standard, offering a nighly, read-only sync to your Aspen or PowerSchool SIS. Cloudwise does not write to or make changes to your SIS environment and only requires the information neccessary to allow students to login. COOL is fully MFIPPA compliant and is also compliant to the European GDPR.
COOL Sync provides a nightly sync to both Aspen and PowerSchool. Teachers are able to print QR-badges and change picture passwords for the students assigned to them. When a new student is added or a student leaves the school, they will be added or removed in COOL automatically, overnight. Teachers always have up-to-date access to the students in their class.
Not using Aspen or PowerSchool? Don’t worry! COOL provides a nightly spreadsheet sync for those boards using neither Aspen or PowerSchool. Spreadsheet sync can also be used in parallel to an Aspen or PowerSchool sync for those staff members who need access but who may not be in your SIS.

You need to be a Google Workspace domain administrator to install COOL. Fill in the form on this page to download COOL. Next, go to the Google Workspace Marketplace, where you will see a wizard that explains how to install COOL. Select which teachers and students you want to transfer from Google Classroom to COOL. Later on, you can easily add or remove teachers and students in Google Workspace.
COOL is integrated with Aspen, PowerSchool, iSAMS, and the Dutch MIS ParnasSys. In the future, we will develop further integrations with other MIS and SIS systems. These integrations allow us to automate the process of creating accounts. If you’re not using Aspen or PowerSchool, you can use your school’s Google Workspace for Education environment for automated account creation.
Yes, you can. You need to create a Google Workspace account, which we will sync with your Microsoft account. That way, the entire school can log in using their own Microsoft account.
